Oriental scene framed in painted bone. Oriental School. 20th century - Painted bone and worked ivory. Dimensions: 15 x 10 cm (scene) and 31 x 25 cm (frame). Elaborately painted scene on bone, framed in a rectangular support decorated with geometric reliefs. The composition shows a couple swinging beneath a tree, framed by a natural landscape of gold, green, and blue tones. The ornamentation of the clothing and jewelry reflects the aesthetic refinement of oriental miniature painting.
