17th Century Seville School - Adoration of the Magi
Oil on canvas. Dimensions 157 × 89 cm. The Magi, dressed in sumptuous robes, bow before the Child Jesus, while the Virgin holds him gently. The scene is framed in a dim setting, where the faces are softly illuminated by a dim light that reinforces the devotion of the moment. The composition stands out for the rich details in the kings' clothing and the delicacy of their gestures. This 17th-century Sevillian work, inspired by the Baroque style, follows the tradition of depicting moments of great religious significance, seeking not only aesthetic beauty but also the exaltation of faith.
