CIRCLE OR WORKHOP OF TITIAN VECELLIO, VENETIAN SCHOOL OF THE 16TH CENTURY, PENITENT MAGDALEN
Oil on canvas of measurements 84 x 66 cm. It represents the Penitent Magdalene, one of the recurring themes of religious iconography in the Renaissance. Attributed to the workshop or circle of Titian, one of the greatest exponents of the Venetian School. With a figure immersed in devotion and repentance, the work shows a deeply expressive drama, which contrasts with the beauty of the representation.
