PHILIPPE SWYNCOP (1878-1949) The Triumph of Peace over Arms, Belgian Romanticist school of the 19th century
This early 20th century oil painting by Belgian artist Philippe Swyncop (1878-1949) signed and dated 1904. Measures 170 x 120 cm framed. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels with Constant Montald and Jean-François Portaels. His works are held in numerous public collections, including museums in Brussels and Ghent. Provenance: important Spanish private collection.
