Descent of Christ, Spanish tenebrist school, 17th century
Oil on panel. Measurements without frame: 45 x 34. Measurements framed: 68 x 37. Scene of the Descent from the Cross of Christ, with him as the central figure, very illuminated in contrast to the secondary characters, much more somber. Due to this great contrast of lights and shadows, the canvas would be integrated into the Spanish tenebrist school of the 17th century.
