Exceptional Lot of 5 Panels for Boiserie painted on canvas and mounted on Screen, French Work of the 18th century, Louis XVI period
Each Panel Representing a mistress of Louis XVI, finely rendered in various ovals with Trophies and Flourishes around them. We find, in this order, Madame de Noailles, Madame de Nevers, Madame de Fontagne, Mademoiselle de Lavallière and Princesse de Conti. Origin: important residence in the South of Spain. Each panel measures: 175 x 50 x 11, open measures: 175 x 250 x 11 cm
