Signed Impressionist Landscape Oil
Item/Description: Original painting depicts a rural vista landscape scene. Early autumn tree covered hillside, dotted with buildings from the village below. Signed lower right. Unknown artist, illegible signature. Canvas is actually a flour sac. Old adhesive sticker in Italian reads in part: 8 Mostra Nazionale Di Pittura ( 8th National Painting Exhibition)/Premio Pontedera ( Pontedera Award).
Material: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: Image size: Height: 27 1/2"; Width: 19 1/2". Unframed.
Condition: Overall very good. Colors remain bold and bright. Wheat bag canvas shows age. Wear includes craquelure, scratches, areas of paint loss, fraying to edges of canvas.
Age: 1940s
