העומר היה כתב עת שיצא בעריכתו של ש. בן ציון בארץ ישראל בשני כרכים בלבד, בשנים תרס"ז-תרס"ט (1907–1909). קובץ ספרותי-מדעי שעסק גם בשאלות הזמן והמקום.
ייחודו היה בניסיון להעביר את המרכז הספרותי מהגולה לארץ ישראל.
קשיים כלכליים בהוצאת כתב העת וחילוקי דעות לגבי אופיו וייעודו גרמו, בסופו של דבר, לסגירתו לאחר שנתיים בלבד.
סיפורו הראשון של ש"י עגנון, עגונות - על שמו הוענק לסופר שם-העט שלו, עגנון - התפרסם בכרך השני, של העומר.
