Enamelled porcelain "abstinence" plaque, 20th century.
Pumpkin-shaped plate, enameled on the outside, and decorated with elements in relief on both sides. Some embossed details are covered in gold, which shows slight wear. The circular cartouches contain the characters "zhaijie" in gold which means abstinence. Longitudinally it is crossed by a decorative cord. similarly decorated with the inscription inscribed in Manchu.
