Chinese ink plaque, Qing dynasty.
Solid black ink in the shape of a hexagonal plate. On the obverse it has relief decoration representing an elephant holding a vase, and on the right side two carved characters 九贡 (Jiugong) and filled in gold. On the reverse there are three archaic characters in relief 浴砚斋 (Yu yanzhai). slightly cracked and no flaws.
