Jun pottery "yuhuchunping" vase, Yuan dynasty (1279 - 1368)
Blue glazed ceramic with purple-splashed decoration. The glaze is thick and occupies the entire piece but stops before reaching the foot. It is thinner in the mouth and more concentrated in the lower part. The color of the pottery is light and reddish.
The body is stylized and rounded with an open mouth and a narrow neck. The "yuhuchunping" shape is characterized by having a pear profile.
In perfect condition, being a type of piece much sought after by collectors.
Height: 24.5 cm; Mouth diameter: 7.5 cm; Base diameter: 7.5 cm.
Provenance: European private collection.
