Cloisonné emamel brazier, China, Qing dinasty
Qianlong four characters mark 乾隆年 制 on base.The base is thin and oval. The body is globular in shape and the rim is rounded inwards. The lid is openwork and depicts vegetal elements. On top have a gold-plated bronze handle with engraved decoration. This type of brazier was used to warm the hands.The main motifs are multi-colored lotus flowers and leaf scrolls on a turquoise background. Bats and symbols also appear. The main body is framed by a ruyi band.Size: 12x20 cm; Height with handle: 18 cm.
