CATALAN FILING CABINET, SECOND HALF 18TH CENTURY.
fillet in scrolls and braces, with ‘bec d'oca’ moulding encircling the drawers and cover. The front has two drawers in a line and three longitudinal drawers between exposed dividing rails. The space is divided into three compartments; a central one and two lateral ones with five drawers altogether. The body is complemented by a moulded plinth and corbelled legs. Gilt metal escutcheons and handles.
Cracks in the marquetry. Finished with synthetic varnish and later restorations. Typical wear and tear due to antiquity.
