People's Artist of Russia. Full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Laureate of State Prizes. Laureate of the State I.Repin Prize (1985), State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art (1999). One of the largest representatives of the "severe style" of the 1960s. Member of the Board of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR and the USSR (1970-1980). Author portraits, still lifes, genre scenes. Works of the artist are in the State Tretyakov Gallery. The State Russian Museum, in many large regional museums.
