Ossovsky Petr Pavlovich. (b. in 1925, Malaya Viska, the Kirovograd Region, Ukraine - 2015).

Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1970), People’s Artist of the RSFSR. 

People’s Artist of the USSR. Corresponding member of the USSR Arts Academy Graduated from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Institute of Arts. 

Studied under S.V. Guerassimov, N.H. Maksimov, D.K. Mochalsky, S.N. Kostina, I.I. Chekmazova, V.V. Favorsky. Participant of the exhibitions since 1954.
In 1963 was awarded with the USSR Arts Academy Silver Medal for the serial of works “Cuba”. Personal exhibitions of the Artist were held in Moscow (1964, 1978, 1983 and 1985), Poland (1965), Italy (1966), Czech Republic (1975), Slovakia (1975), Finland (1984), Ukraine (1986), Germany (1987) and Spain (1992) 

In 1996 personal exhibition of paintings and drawings of P.P. Ossovsky was held in the Russia Academy of Arts Joint exhibitions with D. Jilinsky, V. Ivanov and G. Korjev The Artist’s work are kept in the State Tretiakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, various regional museums same as in private and State collections in Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, England, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Finland, Japan, USA, Egypt, Israel and Venezuela
