Nisskii Georgii Georgievich (1903, Moscow -1987, Moscow).
A landscape painter, genrist, author of still-lives and monumental pictures; graphic artist. He studied in the VKhUTEMAS Higher School of Arts (1922-1930) under A.D.Drevin and R.R.Falk; he was influenced by the OST’s people, first of all, A.A.Deyneka, and P.P. Konchalovsky. The main theme is the industrial landscape, as well as battle scenes and marine science. During the war years he worked in the TASS Windows. Works G.G. Nyssa are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in many other major museums.
