Komarov Evgenii Ivanovich (1912, Moscow - 1995, Moscow).
A graphic artist. In the beginning of 1930s the artist took classes under E.A. Kibrik in Moscow. In 1933-1939 studied at the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov under B.A. Dekhterev, K.N. Istomin, P.Ya. Pavlinov. Since 1939 participated in exhibitions. In 1940-1940 was an artist in the Studio named after Grekov. Illustrated and designed books for “Detgiz”, “Goslitizdat”, Publishing house “Soviet Russia”. In 1950-1960 created stamps drawings for artistically stamped envelopes. The artist worked a lot in a war theme. During the Great Patriotic war served at the front, where made many propaganda posters. E.I. Komarov participated in the creation of memorial monuments group on Mamaev kurgan in Volgograd. The artist’s works are kept in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Literature museum, Volgograd State Defense museum, etc.
