Solovyova Galina Sergeevna (1908-1984)

Painter, graphic artist, theater artist. She studied at the experimental demonstration high school. Decembrists. (1919-1925) at the theater and decoration department of the Moscow Moscow Art College (1926-1932) with V. N. Baksheev. She worked as an assistant artist under the leadership of Yu. A. Zavadsky (1932-1933). She worked at the MTX (1941-1945). Since the late 1940s, she has been illustrating books. Personal exhibitions: Ivanovo, Kineshma (1983).

Fateeva Irina Anatolyevna (1908-?)

Soviet artist, graphic artist who devoted a significant part of her creative activity to the theme of Russian fairy tales. Born in 1908 in Kiev. She began her art education at the Moscow State College of Arts in memory of the 1905 uprising; in 1937 she graduated from the All-Russian Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Masters of such a high level as K. Petrov-Vodkin, A. Savinov became the teachers of Fateeva. Since 1942 I.A. Fateeva works in a creative union with the artist Galina Sergeevna Solovieva (1908-1984).

I.A. Fateeva and G.S. Solovyov won recognition not only in the USSR, but also abroad, participating in art exhibitions in Montreal (exhibition "Fiction", 1967), England (exhibition "Soviet print", 1968), Romania, the USA, Stockholm ( personal exhibition "Russian folk tales", 1982), as well as in Japan (exhibition "Russian folk tale", 1967), Tokyo, Nagasaki, etc. The works of artists are in museums such as the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkin in Moscow, the State Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, etc., in private collections in Russia and abroad.
