RODRIGUEZ DE LA VEGA PEDRO: (1940-1971) Mexican motor racing Driver. Rodríguez was killed during a car race in Nuremberg while he was driving for the lead at the wheel of a Ferrari. Rare D.S., being a contre-marque 5.5 x 8 page from the 29th Grand Prix of Monaco, May 1971. Signed in blue ink to a clear area across the page. The printed page lists the names of 12 pilots, including Pedro Rodriguez, Ronnie Peterson, Jean Pierre Beltoise, Rolf Stommelen, Chris Amon, Jo Siffert, Henri Pescarolo, etc.. The collector annotated beneath each name the drivers qualifying times. Less than two months later Rodriguez suffered the fatal accident. Autographs of Rodriguez de la Vega are rare in any form following his tragic early death at the age of 31. Attractive presentation, matted in black, alongside an unsigned 4 x 5.5 photograph of Rodriguez wearing his helmet and overalls, and a Monaco Grand Prix contemporary image of cover programme, to an overall of 16 x 12. VG £100-150
