GRACE W. G.: (1848-1915) English Cricketer. A.L.S., W. G. Grace, two pages, 8vo, Midland Hotel, Skipton, 7th September n.y., to 'My dear Swire'. Grace politely refuses his correspondent's offer ('much as I should like to be with you') and remarks 'McGregor says he is afraid he cannot play. You will be able to get plenty of good men so late in the season'. Some very light, minor age wear, otherwise VG £250-350 Grace's correspondent may have been Samuel Swire (1839-1905) English Cricketer who played for Lancashire.
