6.5 x 5.3 cm. (Oval).
Until now, there has only been one known lifetime portrait
of famous writer Alexander Nikolaevich Radishchev (1749-
1802) - stored in the Saratov State Art Museum. This portrait,
ordered apparently by someone from the family of the disgraced
writer, goes back to the same iconography.
Provenance: collection of Parisian antiquarian Alexander
Mikhailovich Dzhanshieva (1928-2001).
