USTINOV PETER: (1921-2004) English Actor, Writer, Screenwriter and Film Director. Academy Award winner. A.L.S., Peter, two pages, 8vo, London, 19th December 1955, on his personal printed stationery, to Binkie. An interesting content letter, Ustinov referring to many of the projects he is involved in, also expressing his thoughts about his own skills, and stating in part `The situation at the moment is as follows: I«m off on Tuesday to do a very quick film in Sicily, and I«ll be back in the middle of February to go with my rehearsals with my new playÉI enjoyed ''Le Mari, La Femme et La Mort'' immenselyÉI must also tell you that I have far less confidence in myself as an adaptor than in myself as a playwright (probably quite wrongly), but I have such a respect for the written word of another man, hat I find I lack doing - I become like a surgeon who can«t stand the sight of blood.
