NADAR: (1820-1910) French Photographer, Caricaturist and Balloonist. A good A.L.S., Nadar, two pages, written to first and third page, 12mo, [Paris], n.d. [1880], in French. Nadar refers first to his lumbago `Je suis, mon ami, cloué depuis quelques jours par mon lumbago automnal périodique et je vous réponds comme je peux sur votre propre papier…´ (“I have been, my friend, unable to move for a few days because of my periodic automn lumbago and I answer to you in the best way I can and on your own paper...”) Nadar refers to two debtors his correspondent´s asked him about, and informs him about the large amount of money lost by the first who in his opinion will not attend his debt, although thinks the second will pay, and further states `…j´ai… des choses à vous dire! Des bonnes enfin!!!... mais c´est à la condition que je ne bouge point de ma boutique, et quoique sur le flanc, j´y reste…. Que vous series bon si vous veniez la journée finie à l´heure seule où il nous est permis de nous asseoir manger le boeuf avec nous..´ (“…I have… things to tell you!
