[SLAVE SALE CONTRACT]: A very fine L.S., being a slave sale contract, one page, folio, Habana, Cuba, 24th August 1871, in Spanish. The document states `D. Antonio Cancio, vecino de la Calzada del Cerro, minero ochocientos diez y nueve vende a D. Juan Ferrin y Pazo, vecino de Cardenas, una negra nombrada La disloca, en precio de mil trescientos escudos´ (“Mr. Antonio Cancio, resident at la Calzada del Cerro, miner, number eight hundred and nineteen, sells to Mr. Juan Ferrin y Pazo, resident at Cardenas, a black woman named La disloca for the price agreed of one thousand and three hundred escudos”) Signed at the base by officials of La Habana.
