JOHN XXIII: (1881-1963) Pope of the Roman Catholic Church 1958-1963. Known as “The Good Pope”. Beatified in 2000 and canonized in 2014. An excellent and unusual signed and inscribed 9 x 12.5 photograph (23 cm x 32 cm), `al Prof. Piero Alonzo - Joannes P.P. XXIII´, the attractive image showing Pope John XXIII walking, in a full-length pose, wearing his Papal habits, smiling and looking at the persons applauding him. Also dated in his hand, 14th January 1959. Inscribed to professor Piero Alonzo was the Superintendent of the hospital Riuniti in Rome. Signed and inscribed and dated in bold black ink to the lower white border. VG
