Johann W. Weinnmann German apothecary and botanist, noted for his creation of the florilegia "Phytanthoza Iconographia" from 1737 to 1745, an ambitious project that resulted in eight folio volumes with more than 1,000 hand-colored engravings of several thousand plants.
Acquired by the present owner at the Margarita de Dios gallery (label on the back).
