Important pair of Italian Trumeau - Republic of Venice, city of Verona, circa 1750 - à deux corps in walnut and burl walnut, serpentine front with concave sides. The lower body with a fall-front writing surface enclosing a central compartments and two drawers on each side, a wavy front with three drawers on bracket feet, a single door upper section with a shaped mirror, a moulded top with a wide giltwood rocaille frame and slightly moved sides. The two trumeau were designed to be placed opposite each other. Furniture from the city of Venice is much smaller in size, whereas furniture of this size were produced in the city of Verona or in the Venetian area. Dimensions 250 x 123 x 55 cm. Item condition grading: **** good.
