Signed and inscribed Christmas greetings card by Prince Charles, the stiff white slim oblong 8vo folding card featuring a colour photograph to the inside of the Prince riding in an open carriage alongside his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Signed ('Charles') and inscribed in fountain pen ink above and below a printed Christmas and New Year greeting. With a gold embossed cipher to the front cover incorporating the Prince of Wales's feathers and a crown. Accompanied by the original registered envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Bate in Wadebridge, Cornwall, post marked at Buckingham Palace, 17^th December 1980. Together with a 6 x 8 colour photograph of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the image depicting her in a half-length pose, with an A.N.S., Camilla, with holograph salutation and subscription, to the verso, addressed to Philip, the printed text stating, in full, 'Thank you very much for your kind message on my birthday. It seems to come round faster every year!'.
