GEORGE IV : (1762-1830) King of the United Kingdom 1820-30. A.L.S., with his initials GR, as King, one page, 4to, n.p., 20th July 1823, to Mr. Charles. The King states that his letter will be delivered by their mutual friend, Sir William, 'who will tell you of my real affection towards you, & how sincerely anxious I am for your recovery & your happiness', further remarking 'I feel confident from Sir Wm's account that you will regain your health; do not fret yourself about anything, & make all your little comforts as comfortable as you can' and concluding 'Peter is with me, he is the kindest of friends, & the most affectionate of fathers'.
