MEINDL EUGEN: (1892-1951) German General with the 2nd Parachute Corps of the Luftwaffe during World War II, Knight's Cross winner with Oak Leaves. Vintage signed colour 4 x 6 postcard, the image being a reproduction of a drawing by war artist Wilhelm Willrich depicting Meindl in a profile head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and holding a pair of binoculars in one hand. Signed ('Eugen Meindl', with rank beneath) by Meindl in bold purple indelible pencil to a clear area at the base of the image. VG
