PIRANDELLO LUIGI: (1867-1936) Italian Dramatist & Novelist, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1934. A good Autograph signed statement, one page, 4to, on a page removed from an autograph album, Pirandello states `Divino pregio, l´amore della bellezza per la bellezza dell´amore´ (“Divine quality, the love of beauty for the beauty of love”). Signed `Luigi Pirandello´ at the base, also dated beneath at Torino, 13th May 1918, in his hand. Bearing to the verso a signed eight verses lengthy poem in the hand of Nino Martoglio (1870-1921) Sicilian writer and producer of theatrical works. Left edge very slightly trimmed. Overall age wear with foxing stains. About G
