SCHILLER FRIEDRICH: (1759-1805) German Poet, Philosopher and Playwright. An extremely rare annotation in Schiller´s hand to a clipped 4 x 2 piece, stating `B. Geofroy le Rat de la langue de France + 1206´ in French. Schiller´s annotation is authenticated to the verso by his own daughter Emilie Henriette von Gleichen-Russwurm (1804-1872) Schiller´s youngest daughter, stating `Written in Schiller´s hand - Emilie von Gleichen, born von Schiller´ in German. Together with an A.L.S., `Emilie von Gleichen-Russwurm, born von Schiller´, one page, 8vo, Greifenstein ob Bonnland, 3rd June 1871, to an early autograph collector, in German. Emilie refers to the clipped piece in her father´s hand, stating `I am sending to you enclosed a few words in Schiller´s handwriting which you had requested for your autograph collection.
