YESIPOVA ANNA: (1851-1914) Russian Pianist. One of the main Russian pianists of her time, her virtuosity was highly admired by Liszt and Tchaikovsy. Yesipova was the most brilliant pupil of Leszetycki, years after becoming his spouse. Among his students as teacher of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory were Prokofiev, Borovsky and many others. A rare A.L.S., `A. Yesipova´, three pages, n.p., 6<sup>th</sup> August, n.y., to Miron Isakovich, in Cyrillic. Yesipova reports on her trip stating in part `We made all our way…. Benz turned out to be a great car, and the driver an expert. Our trip was a pure delight!´, she further describes delighted the location, saying ` We could not have arranged better here in the guesthouse Ziminoy, by the very seaside. We were given a room with a balcony with seaview; we are surrounded by a park, and we have our own beach, and a steamship pier is right there. The guest house is very nice.
