A cleanly written A.L.S., `Nadia Boulanger´, one page, mourning paper, oblong 8vo, Paris, n.d., on her printed stationery, 36 Rue Ballu, to an unidentified correspondent, in French. Boulanger responds to a request and states in part 'Je suis désolée de ne pouvoir répondre a votre sympathique appel, mais un tres cruel deuil me retient ici, et je ne sors pas du tout cette année. Sachez du moins que je suivrai vos efforts´ (“I am sorry that I cannot respond to your kind call, but a very cruel mourning keeps me here, and I am not going out at all this year.
