BERGEN EDGAR: (1903-1978) American actor & comedian, remembered for his ventriloquist act with Charlie McCarthy. Vintage signed and inscribed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of Bergen standing in a three-quarter length pose, wearing top hat and tails, speaking on the telephone whilst accompanied by Charlie McCarthy, dressed in similar attire, looking over Bergen's shoulder. Signed in blue ink at the head of the image, 'With good wishes and many thanks to Charles Henry from Edgar Bergen and Charlie'. A couple of very slight corner creases and a few extremely minor traces of former mounting to the verso, otherwise VG
