FAISAL II: (1935-1958) King of Iraq 1939-58. The last King of Iraq, Faisal was assassinated along with several members of his family during the 14th July Revolution. Fountain pen ink signature ('Faisal') on a small oblong 12mo card featuring a small gold embossed crown at the head and with a typed caption. Accompanied by a T.L.S. by Brigadier Nuri Jamil, A.D.C. to the King, one page, 8vo, Royal Palace, Baghdad, 25th June 1958, to William H. Hill, forwarding the autograph at the command of the King. VG, 2 The present signature was sent to William Hill, an English collector, less than a month before King Faisal II was assassinated.
