ALBERT: (1869-1931) Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, a grandson of Queen Victoria. A.L.S., Albert of S Holstein, two pages, 8vo, Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, n.d. ('Wed'; 25th March 1914), to the sporting editor of The Field. The Prince seeks information from his correspondent, explaining 'His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Wiemar has written to me asking me to give him the address in England of pheasantries (sic) where he can procure pure Torquatus pheasant eggs for the purpose of improving his pheasants in Germany', and hoping that his correspondent may be able to provide him with the necessary information.
