FREDERICK II: (1712-1786) King of Prussia 1740-86, known as Frederick the Great. L.S., Friedrich, (a slightly truncated form of his signature), one page, 4to, Potsdam, 6th April 1777, to Bein, a superior commissioner, in German. The King writes regarding the cost for a cargo of grain which Bein had sent to Kustrin, explaining that the price of 3 Talers for a Winspel (an Old Prussian weight unit for crops) is much too expensive and that a Winspel should be half of the price, further urging Bein to make an effort to regulate the cost of the cargo in such a way and adapt the bill before sending it.
