FOUCHÉ JOSEPH: (1759-1820) Convention Deputy and Minister of Police. D.S., Fouché, two pages, large 11.5 x 18, 19th September 1809, in Italian and French. The partially printed document, bearing a very attractive printed coat of arms to the heading above the printed large letters title ''In Nome di sua Maestá, Napoleone I, Imperatori dei Francesi, Re d´Italia, Protettore della Confederazione del Reno'', being a safe conduct given to Pietro Duvone allowing him to leave Como and go to Rotterdam `Rhoterdam in Olanda´, and requests that any military or civil authority permits his free travelling. Bearing to the front page a paper seal affixed. Signed in bold black ink by Fouché to the verso, in his capacity as Senator Ministry of Police, and above a red ink stamp of the Ministry of Police of the Empire. Bearing also to the verso two additional registrations annotations. G
