SIMENON GEORGES: (1903-1989) Belgian Writer, creator of the fictional detective Jules Maigret. A.L.S., Georges Simenon, one page, 8vo, Lausanne, 31st January 1959, to Albert-Jean, in French. Simenon apologises for the late reply to his correspondent's letter, explaining 'I was in the middle of working on my novel', and further writes 'I don't know what Milzen's programme is for this year. I expect him to come here in a few days. I am enclosing a note for him right now. It is about Sven Nielsen, he is the owner and founder of Les Presses'.
