DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Père. (1802-1870) French Writer whose works include The Three Musketeers. A.L.S., Al.Dumas, one page, Paris, 26th December 1841, to Madame Porcher, in French. Dumas, always short of money, sends a short message requesting a payment on account and stating `Be good enough my dear Madame Porcher and give two hundred francs to the bearer of this note, amount which you will discount from the 1000 francs which I asked you for the end of this month.´ Signed and dated at the base by the bearer of the message after having received the money. Small overall minor age wear, mostly to edges, with creasing to left edge. G
