SCHULZ CHARLES M.: (1922-2000) American Cartoonist, creator of the Peanuts comic strip. An excellent, large 22.5 x 15.5 reproduction of a typically amusing Peanuts cartoon strip comprising ten panels featuring Schroeder and Lucy van Pelt, Lucy asking Schroeder 'What makes you think Beethoven was better than Elton John?', the young pianist responding by congratulating Lucy by awarding her with a trophy, explaining 'You have just won the award for the most stupid question of the year!' Signed by Schulz in blue ink to a clear area at the head, 'For Elton John, with admiration and every best wish, Charles M. Schulz' A rare association piece. Neatly mounted, otherwise VG. Elton John (1947- ) English Singer, Composer & Pianist, Academy Award winner. The cartoon strip was originally sold as part of The Elton John Auction, Stage Costume and Memorabilia, Volume One, Sotheby's, London, 6th September 1988.
