KUBIN ALFRED: (1877-1959) Austrian printmaker and illustrator, considered an important representative of Symbolism and Expressionism. A.L.S., Kubin, to two sides of a plain postcard, Wernstein am Inn, 7th December 1920, to Mr. and Mrs. Heberle, in German. Kubin announces to his friends that he will come to see them again on Saturday 11th, remarking 'maybe there is something there for me again - Now I am ready with the blueprint of the Strindberg soon - That has been a path full of thorns to Damascus!! My nerves are very edgy from over exertion', and further writing in a postscript that the Wielandheft (No.6) has now been published, although unfortunately the good newspaper is going to close. VG
