NIEMOLLER MARTIN: (1892-1984) German Anti-Nazi Theologian and Lutheran Pastor. Signed 4 x 6.5 photograph of Niemoller standing outdoors in a three quarter length pose and holding a pipe in one hand. Signed in blue fountain pen ink with his name alone to the image, largely across a darker area although reasonably legible. Together with an A.L.S., Martin Niemoller, on one side of a plain postcard, 7th November 1946, to a gentleman, thanking him for his greetings, forwarding an autograph as requested, and commenting 'One of my favourite words of Holy Scriptures is Isaiah 43.1'. With some heavy traces of former mounting covering almost the entire verso and a few small water stains slightly affecting parts of the text. G to VG, 2
