Meyerbeer states `I deeply regret that I was not at home when you honoured me with your visit. As you wished, I have annotated few lines in your album which I am honoured returning it to you enclosed
´ Extremely small stain to the left border, not affecting the text or signature. G to VG Meyerbeer addresses this letter and refers to the album of Lia Duport, French singer and spouse of musician Richard Mulder (1823-1874)
