PUCCINI GIACOMO: (1858-1924) Italian Composer. A magnificent vintage signed and inscribed 13.5 x 9.5 photograph of Puccini, the image depicting him in a three-quarter length profile pose seated at his Steinway & Sons piano as he plays from the score before him. Photograph by Valdemaro of Milan and bearing their imprint to the lower photographer's mount. Signed ('Giacomo Puccini') by the composer in bold black fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image, with an inscription to a cousin, and dated at Torre del Lago, 1915, in his hand. Signed photographs of Puccini of this size and quality are scarce and desirable. About EX
