MASSENET JULES: (1842-1912) French Composer. A good A.L.S., `Votre Vieil ami - Massenet´ (''Your old friend - Massenet''), two pages, written to the first and third page, 8vo, Paris, 11th May 1899, to Monsieur Doret, in French. Massenet explains that he has registered his correspondent´s name on a list he will forward, and further states `..after the premiere I intend to spend few more days in Paris and I will take the opportunity to meet you and to talk about your interesting projects.´ Massenet adds a message beneath his signature `Aigle 1888!..Paris 1899´ probably referring to the last time they met. Paper with Original Castle Mill watermark. Accompanied by the original envelope postmarked and stamped. VG
