MULLER RENATE: (1906-1937) German Singer and Actress. A silent film, sound film and stage actress. Muller was one of the most successful actresses in German films from the early 1930s. Very rare signed postcard photograph, the Ross image depicting Muller standing in a full length pose. Signed in bold black fountain pen ink to the lower white border of the image. Signed photographs of Muller are desirable after her death at the very early age of 31. VG Muller was courted by the Nazi Party to appear in films that promoted their ideals, but refused. Her sudden death at the age of 31 was initially attributed to epilepsy, but after the end of WWII, it was asserted that she had been murdered by Gestapo officers, but it was also said that she committed suicide. The true circumstances of her death remain unknown.
