GEORGE I OF GREECE: (1845-1913) King of Greece 1863-1913. Assassinated. A good D.S., `George´, in Greek, one page, 16.5 x 11, Athens, 31st October 1878, annotated ''The Year of the Salvation'', to Mr. Blanchart, in Greek. The partially printed document, entitled ''George A - King of Greeks'', is the title award of the Golden Cross of the Knights of the Royal Order of the Saviour, granted by the King to M. Blanchart. The title bears to the front a large and very attractive Royal paper seal. Countersigned to the right bottom corner. Accompanied by the original envelope, bearing to the verso a very fine red wax seal of the Greek delegation in London. Postmarked and stamped. Small overall minor age wear and creasing, otherwise about VG
