LEOPOLD III: (1901-1983) King of the Belgians 1934-51 when he abdicated. Unusual signed large title `Leopold´, one page, oblong 22.5 x 17, Brussels, 21st November 1935, to John C. Wiley, in French and Flemish. The large and attractive document being the patent given by the King of Belgians to John C. Wiley who had recently been appointed Consul of the United States of America at Antwerp. The title bears to the heading an attractive printed crowned coat of arms. Also signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the base, bearing a paper seal affixed to the lower front corner. VG
